Our Story
Heath’s Steakhouse was started by Mr. H.W. Heath and has been in its original location since 1972. Mr. Heath was in the furniture business with his brother and decided to open a restaurant simply because he liked to cook. He operated Heath’s for 25 years until his passing. The restaurant went on to be operated by his eldest son Doug, and second son Ronnie for an additional 5 years.
In 2002 Pat Godwin, owner of Godwin Manufacturing purchased the business, and along with 36 year employee Debra Jackson, operated Heath’s for an additional 13 years.
In March 2015 Irvin Warren, founder of Warren Oil Company, who already owned the building took the helm. Mr. Warren remodeled Heath’s with white columns, and mahogany wainscoting, and also added a full bar. Keeping with tradition and to honor Mr. H.W. Heath, Mr. Warren renamed the restaurant Heath’s II.
In March of 2020 Dillon Tart, owner of Carolina Gas Sales and Service, and Dillon Tart rentals, purchased Heath’s Steakhouse and the property that it sits on.
In October of 2023 Charles McLamb, Dalton Stocks, Eric Esterline and Andres Lopez purchased Heath’s Steakhouse and the property that sits on. Charles McLamb is very familiar with Heath’s and the Heath’s Family. He has special memories of visiting Mr. Heath at the restaurant, and wishes to continue his legacy. Along with his partners, Charles would like to welcome you to the New Heath’s Steakhouse!
